Fabric too delicate to wear?

Beautiful tops but…I bought 2 raw edge long sleeve tops and wore them each with pleasure. Both felt and looked great on me. First time wearing one of the tops it snagged on my earring wire when pulling it over my head to disrobe and despite my carefully removing both earring and top, the top has a horizontal tear and a “run” like a sheer hosiery run :( Am not sure how to repair top and am now wary of the how delicate is the fabric in these tops.
